Software Engineer II - Workload Identity, Seattle, Washington

We are seeking a Software Engineer II for Uber's Workload Identity Team in Seattle. This engineer will work on Uber's Public key Infra (PKI) and Service Identity Platform. It provides strong identity to services, personnel, workloads, and machines within Uber's microservice ecosystem. The team manages multiple business critical core infra services that provides authentication and authorization for any service to service or personnel to service communication in Uber Infrastructure. It needs to scale to support millions of Uber rides. The team is looking for a strong candidate who has backend experience with a highly reliable distributed system that can support millions of transactions per sec. Experience with Security Fundamentals (OAuth, Kerberos, JWT, Crypto, PKI etc) are not necessary but would be good to have for this role.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience with high scale distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms and micro service ecosystems.
• 2+ years of industry experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar field
• Knowledge of an object-oriented programming language (e.g. Java, C++, C, Python)

Preferred Qualifications

• You have CNCF and Open source engagement.
• Security Fundamentals (OAuth, Kerberos, JWT, Crypto, PKI etc)
