About the Role

As UT continues to expand in Korea, the business is looking for a strategic dealmaker to lead its Business Development function. This role will be heavily focused on partnerships which help UT supercharge its brand awareness as well as the scale of its rider and driver base.

This is a highly cross-functional role. We are seeking a teammate who will collaborate across internal teams including operations, product, finance, compliance, policy and marketing!

This is an individual contributor role reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer of UT and which owns and develops partnerships end to end. You will also have an opportunity to leverage the learnings and capabilities of Uber's Global Business Development function.

About Uber and UT
Uber started out to solve a simple problem: the need to get a ride across town. More than ten years and billions of trips later, we've started tackling an even greater challenge: reducing congestion and pollution in our cities by getting more people into fewer cars. Using technology, Uber makes it quick and easy for people headed in the same direction at the same time to share their journey. It's carpooling at the press of a button. And by getting more people into fewer cars we've proven you can reduce congestion and pollution overtime. uberPOOL in Los Angeles, for example, cut the number of kilometers driven across town by 12.7 million and carbon dioxide pollution by 1,400 metric tons in just eight months.

Longer term, we're optimistic that smartphone apps like Uber can also offer a real alternative to individual car ownership. After all, if you can press a button and get an affordable ride across town in minutes 24-hours a day, why bother to own a car? There is an alternative to a world that looks like a parking lot and moves like a traffic jam. Join Uber to help make that future possible.
Uber in Korea has recently announced a Joint Venture with SK Telecom that will provide us with the ingredients to grow a big and impactful business in the world's fifth-largest taxi market, bringing the magic of Uber to millions.
