About the Role

The payment compliance team at Uber builds the foundation which ensures that we are locally compliant in all the 60+ markets that Uber operate in. Creating a compliance product which handles the risk exposure for the business while continuing to deliver on the 'magical experience' that our users are accustomed to is core to this charter.

The role demands a deep background in product management, product leadership, and the ability to operate in a highly technical environment with strong focus on product and market strategy, collaborate effectively across local compliance teams and manage partners, both internal and external is also required.

What You'll Do

As a GPM compliance team you will set out the northstar for this area at Uber and define the strategy to realize your vision. You will be responsible for building out the compliance capabilities across user compliance, transactions compliance as well as the tooling for compliance operations. You will also be responsible for managing a robust team - growing, mentoring and manage career planning for product managers in your team.

Basic Qualifications

• Domain expertise in payment compliance. Global compliance experience is a plus.
• An undergraduate degree or equivalent.
• 12+ years of experience delivering highly successful products - you're extremely proud of what you've accomplished.
• Excellent track record of working with engineering, data, and design teams, with proven examples to prioritize work across the team.
• Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills with a confirmed ability to influence partners.
• Proven ability to develop deep customer empathy and articulate customer problems.
• At least 4 years of experience leading a team of product managers.

Preferred Skills

• Relevant global compliance experience
• Running compliance for a marketplace is preferred
